Software Engineer – £400-450pd PAYE – 12-month contract – Remote – Global Tech

Role & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with PMs and Designers to define feature specifications and build next-generation consumer-facing features using React.
- Independently design, develop, and complete large features end-to-end, taking ownership of key system areas.
- Identify and drive continuous improvements to codebases, product areas, and system performance.
- Work with Health & Foundations and infrastructure teams to maintain a sustainable and high-performance app.
- Mentor teammates by identifying inefficiencies, driving solutions, and improving team productivity.
- Build front-end frameworks to enable faster, higher-quality product development across teams.
- Develop scalable and maintainable web applications, implementing robust UI components.
- Ensure performance optimisation and seamless user experiences at scale.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience designing and completing medium-to-large features independently
- 3+ years of experience identifying and implementing application improvements
- Hands-on experience using React
- Expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Strong experience in building reusable, high-performance UI components
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented JavaScript Frameworks
- Experience with architectural design for complex front-end systems
- Proven ability to build testable and maintainable codebases, including API design and unit testing
- Strong debugging and performance benchmarking skills
- Experience in developing and launching large-scale web applications supporting millions of users
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Package:
- Day rate – £400-450pd PAYE
- 15% bonus
- 100% remote role
- 12-month contract
