Senior Project Manager – Risk, Product Control & ESG IT
Contract: 12 months (Inside IR35)
Rate: £675 per day
Location: Central London (Hybrid, 3 days per week in the office)
Overview
A Tier 1 Investment Bank is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives across Risk, Product Control (PC), and ESG IT. This role requires strong project delivery expertise within investment banking, with a focus on risk management, regulatory change, and ESG technology solutions.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver risk, product control, and ESG IT projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Work closely with Risk, Finance, Front Office, and Technology teams to drive project success.
- Oversee regulatory-driven change programmes and system enhancements across risk and finance functions.
- Define project scope, timelines, and governance frameworks, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Manage senior stakeholders and report project progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Work with IT teams to implement ESG data solutions and technology platforms in line with sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, governance, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager within an Investment Bank.
- Strong background in Risk, Product Control (PC), or ESG IT project delivery.
- Experience leading regulatory, risk, or finance transformation projects.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Knowledge of ESG regulatory requirements and sustainability reporting (desirable).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills.
