IT Security Officer ( Data / GDPR )

A specialist Fin-Tech organisation is seeking a talented IT Security Officer to govern the security infrastructure of the business and all their leading finance applications. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to a large Information Security Program/Framework within a regulatory environment exposing the chosen candidate to ISO 27001, PCI DSS and the UK data protection act / GDPR.

The chosen security analyst will join a small team of analysts and act as a first response to all security related matters to a number of bespoke financial applications. The chosen officer will receive training and an opportunity to gain qualifications in the following CRISC, CISM, CISA and CISSP.

Finally, the chosen officer will be heavily involved in Information Security Frameworks, Incident Management, Security Incidents and creating formation plans alongside experienced engineers.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the IT Security Service Desk queue, taking ownership of tickets that are assigned to the Security team and managing through to resolution in line with ITIL, meeting SLA’s and working with the IT team(s) as necessary
• Keeping up to date with threat actors, vectors and vulnerabilities to anticipate security incidents and threats, and working with the security engineers to ensure adequate mitigation is in place.
• Actively promoting information security and good security practices throughout the organisation, further enhancing the security awareness

Technical Skill Set:
• 2 year plus in a security focussed position
• Exposure of regulated environments (Finance or Insurance)
• Previous experience supporting/monitoring operational security controls for core IT Security systems (Anti-virus, Content Filtering, FIM, Firewalls, SIEM, and DLP)
• Experience of PCIDSS
• Experience of NIST Cyber Security Framework
• Experience of ISO27001
• Experience of ICO, PRA and FCA data security best practices
• Experience of the UK Data Protection Act/GDPR

Package:
• £27,000 – £33,000 depending upon experience
• Annual bonus-up to 12.5%
• 25 days holiday
