IT Application Support Analyst – Civil Engineering – Hertfordshire – Hybrid working – £35-40k
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Application Support Analyst to join a leading construction and engineering organisation based in Hertfordshire. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical business applications.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for application support requests, ensuring timely resolution of issues
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application-related problems, escalating to developers or third-party vendors as needed
- Monitor application performance and proactively identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement updates, patches, and system changes
- Create and maintain documentation, including user guides, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting procedures
- Assist in the deployment and testing of new applications and features
- Provide training and guidance to end-users to enhance application utilisation
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and security protocols
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in application support, IT support, or a similar role
- Proficient using SharePoint, Azure & Office 365
- Strong knowledge of business applications, databases, and IT systems
- Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and prioritise workload
- Experience with ITIL practices or similar frameworks is a plus
- Minimum 6 months experience of Procure-to-Pay experience is essential
