Finance Systems Manager – Remote Working – £40-55k DOE + Benefits
An excellent opportunity has arisen with one of the UKs most recognised charities, an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Systems Manager to ensure that their technology adequately supports the sustainable delivery of required business capabilities. You will be the technical expert directly managing their Finance Systems Executive and be responsible for the on-going maintenance and continuous improvement of their suite applications.
Role & Responsibilities:
·Provide support to all key Finance stakeholders to ensure that core Finance processes including management of the Capex & Opex, Contract Management, Employee Expense, PO’s, Invoices, Accounts Payable run efficiently and effectively.
·Oversee the Finance Systems Executive providing technical guidance and oversight as required.
·Support the Finance Systems Executive to provide high quality triage of reported systems issues, fixing the majority internally and analyzing where external support is required.
·Ensure that we have a complete set of reports to clearly demonstrate the performance and productivity of our team and the technology that we use.
·Drive a programme of continuous improvement and maintenance for our Finance systems to ensure that we are making the best use of capabilities native to our platforms.
·Support Finance Systems Transformation by providing clear insight into as-is systems and processes, calling out opportunities for better controls and more automation.
·Develop and maintain positive relationships with multiple Supplier and Support Partner Account Management and Technical Teams, ensuring swift issue resolution, excellent customer service, and maximum return on investment.
·Support the Head of Business Technology with Contract Management by ensuring existing architecture is reviewed and assessed as part of the procurement process.
·Work with Security colleagues to ensure that all Finance systems are securely maintained and govern access permission requests to meet legislative requirements.
·Maintain data integrity across the Finance systems by performing regular checks, root cause analysis and relevant corrective actions, to reduce recurrence of data exceptions.
Essential Skills & Experience:
·An in-depth specialist understanding of Finance Systems including systems administration, system build/modification and troubleshooting.
·An in-depth specialist understanding of financial processes.
·Highly developed report-writing skills on financial systems.
·Advanced analytical skills including business process and use case definition.
·Ability to configure business rules and workflows to help support our implementation of increased self-service and process automation.
·Hold one or more Financial Systems Certifications.
·Demonstrable experience administrating, configuring and supporting financial systems including but not limited to Sun4 & Sun6.
