Finance Systems Architect – Oracle E-Business Suite
·£120K + 30% Bonus + Excellent Bens and Pension
·Location: Reigate / Remote
An excellent opportunity has arisen with an exciting financial services organisation who are going through an exciting change programme. In this role you will lead the implementation, configuration and ongoing support of Oracle E-Business Suite solutions in line with the Company’s architectural vision, and in accordance with departmental project standards and practices. In addition to administer key Finance Systems including Treasury, Payments and various other platforms ensuring processes are timely, documented and optimised.
Role:
·Purchase Ledger – Responsible for all aspects of application configuration, troubleshooting any issues with period close, transfer to GL, create accounting, open payment runs. Work with EBS DBA to ensure the optimisation, automation and integration of the application.
·Procure to Pay – Responsible for the configuration and implementation of Oracle i-Procurement. Advise on tax setup, foreign currency and purchasing principles. Configure and monitor approval workflows.
·Sales Ledger – Responsible for all aspects of application configuration, troubleshooting period close, transfer to GL, and any workflow maintenance. Configure aging analysis ensuring the application can be used for debt reporting and the credit control cycle. Work with EBS DBA to ensure optimisation of the application.
·General Ledger – Responsible for the implementation and on-going configuration of the Oracle General Ledger, tax engine setup and configuration, flexfield values, intercompany and multi-currency rules, ensure that configuration is fully documented.
·Workflow Management – Ensure all workflows are configured to the needs of the business. General troubleshooting. Assist the Business Systems Manager in troubleshooting any issues with the Concurrent Manager and Oracle Scheduler making sure that all system admin jobs can be completed successfully
·Functional Support – Qualified Accountant with solid understand accounting principles, be familiar with E-Business Suite functionality and how each module relates to separate business processes. Functional knowledge of the core accounting modules should be pre-requisite.
·Escalation – Manage and work through Oracle’s SR (service Requests) process. Work with the Oracle support team to find solutions and apply any appropriate patches or fixes.
·Testing and UAT support – Assist in the timely provision of environments and assist in the setup of system testing and UAT of any new deployments, projects or upgrades.
·Maintain competence – To maintain your own competence and personal development. Knowledge of IFRS-17
Requirements:
·Qualified Accountant with 5+ Years of Oracle E-Business Suite Application
·5+ Years experience of dealing with Oracle Support
·Functional understanding of the accounting modules and principles used in the setup, config and operation of those modules
·Exposure to regulatory reporting including Solvency II, Knowledge of IFRS-17
·Experience of the Financial Accounting Hub
·Experience of multi-currency and intercompany setup and configuration
·Previous experience of E-Business Tax
Skills and Knowledge
·Hands on operational expertise with Oracle sub-ledgers, expertise in managing a large GL, AP, AR, CE and FAH installations.
·Expertise in Oracle EBS R12, including maintenance tasks, period and calendar administration. Experience of user setup and allocation of responsibilities.
·Expertise in Financial Accounting Hub including rules setup and drill down.
·Knowledge of Oracle COA setup, creation of segment values, descriptive flex-fields, account code combinations, control accounts and ad-hoc general ledger maintenance tasks.
·Can demonstrate history of solving complex problems across accounting modules.
·A willingness to learn new skills and adopt to new technologies.
·Good communication skills, verbal and written and knowing when to use them.
