Contract Digital Business Analyst – £480 PD (Circa) – 6 Months
An excellent opportunity has arisen with a global data driven fintech who provide services to the worlds leading banking, ecommerce and telecommunication companies. In summary, the Digital Business Analyst is at the fore front of the process and at the intersection of technology, business, client and culture thus playing a critical role as a part of the cross-functional team and provide immediate and ongoing input regarding the requirements with a view of producing a functional, scalable and valuable product or solution to the client.
Role of the Digital Business Analyst
·Ability to understand and prioritise the requirements that have the highest value thus driving the goal of quick and continuous delivery to the client.
·Conduct discovery workshops and other requirements gathering techniques such as value stream mapping, impact mapping, process mapping and context diagrams.
·Ability to produce high quality requirements and related artefacts (user stories/ customer journeys/personas with a view to produce something quick and also minimise rework.
·Taking the product/solution from discovery through implementation with a view of delivering a minimum viable product using agile/lean/DevOps principles and approaches. Thus the ability to identify and work with the right stakeholders at the right time is the key.
·Ability to bring in the knowledge and best practices in developing product backlogs/Kanban boards etc. especially in digital product or platform development (web/mobile/data analytics/ omni-channel etc.
·Ability to develop functional and non-functional requirements along with testing scenarios and expected outcomes.
·Proactively evaluate current processes and systems to recommend solutions for continuous improvement.
·Ability to coach other team members and/ or the product managers to bring in best results.
·Ability to persuade / influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
Requirements of the Digital Business Analyst
·Experienced in business analysis for complex problems from discovery through delivery phase of the project.
·Experience of working in agile teams, working iteratively on solution development and collaborating with diverse stakeholders-clients, client solutions team, architects, PM, delivery team and senior management.
·Experience in defining user stories, mapping those to desired outcomes and driving the team towards the common goal of building a quick and valuable product. This implies an appreciation of ways of working and the factors influencing them.
·Perform requirements gathering exercise using moderated workshops, interviewing , focus groups and other similar techniques
·Experience/ understanding of web and mobile technologies, data analytics, Omni-channel customer engagement and similar digital solutions and capable of engaging cross-functional teams to draw out best solutions
·Knowledge of lean/agile/ DevOps methods
·Ability to define acceptance criteria and run functional testing of the user stories (Required)
