Data Engineer – Consultancy – United Kingdom – Up to £700 per day (Inside IR35) – 6 Month Contract – Fully Remote
Overview:
Our client, a leading global consulting partner are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to support a major data migration and integration project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ingest, cleanse, and integrate data from SQL databases, REST APIs, and Salesforce.
- Define and implement Salesforce data migration strategies.
- Ensure data quality through cleansing rules and pipeline monitoring.
- Develop and support CI/CD pipelines following DevOps best practices.
- Collaborate with teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Document datasets, solution designs, and integration processes.
- Engage with stakeholders to support change management.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis of structured and unstructured data.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in data migration and integration, especially with Salesforce.
- Strong proficiency in Python, C#, or PowerShell for data processing.
- Expertise in Databricks Python/SQL for cleansing, validation, and quality checks.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Data Lake Storage, and Databricks.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, unit testing, and version control.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable:
- Experience with Power BI and data visualization.
- Certified SCRUM Developer (CSD) or equivalent.
