Claims Handler – Sevenoaks

Overview:
My Client offers tailored insurance solutions to help you across all areas of your life, from home to motor claims. We are looking for someone to provide technical guidance to the claims handling team on the aspects of buildings insurance claims to review and determine whether claims are valid and where they are not provide technical explanation.

Role & Responsibilities:
• Excellent communications with policyholders, Suppliers and Loss Assessors for those aspects of the claim you are responsible for.
• To desktop validate, scope and deliver claim decisions
• Provide a valid well-articulated rationale where claims are adjusted or repudiated
• Review contractor estimates, both network and private
• Provide technical support to the claims team on building repairs, methodology and pathology
• To undertake any individual or team task or activity reasonably requested and in line with the company values.

Skills & Experience:
• At least 2 years previous experience of working in an insurance claims related handling role.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Accurate with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience of Xactware or other estimating software desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
• PC literate with good administrative skills.
• Ability to take on increased ownership and responsibility when necessary.

Package:
•£25k – £30k Basic Salary
