Overview:
We are currently seeking a proactive and customer-focused 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer to join a globally recognised brand. This role will provide hands-on IT support to users across the business, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and services. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Microsoft Windows environments, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality technical support.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to end users via phone, email, and in person
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows 10/11 operating systems and associated applications
- Manage user accounts and permissions within Active Directory, Office 365, and other enterprise systems
- Troubleshoot and support Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
- Set up and support desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
- Escalate complex technical issues to the 3rd line support or relevant teams when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of technical processes, solutions, and user requests
- Assist with IT projects, rollouts, and upgrades as required
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a 1st / 2nd line IT support role
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11)
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications and Active Directory
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
